Violonelles
Violonelles is a string trio (and sometimes a quartet) of folk-curious souls, multi-lingual and multi-national and all living in the 'Dreieck' of Germany, France and Switzerland.
The band's repertoire explores folk music from all corners, and particularly folk music linked to the tradition of dance and Balfolk.
These musical references span both traditional and modern tunes from a wide range of folk traditions: From celtic countries like Brittany and Ireland to Scandinavia and Eastern lands, Violonelles testify to a living breathing musical tradition, which they share with audiences in a vibrantly modern presentation.

With their energetic, danceable sets, Táin have established themselves as one of the most booked Irish folk bands in Switzerland. Traditional Irish and Scottisch tunes tunes are spiced up with modern elements such as stomp box and cajon, giving the audience a very special experience. A mix of wild, modern Irish folk and a few quieter, traditional arrangements.
‘Tain’ means ‘raid’ in Gaelic . And their concerts do feel a bit like a raid. In a positive sense.
Without wasting many words, they dive into the world of Irish and Scottish tunes with great energy and virtuosity, immediately captivating the audience. These melodies, often passed down through many generations, have something magical about them. Thom Freiburghaus and Louise Gillman play these enchanting melodies with great passion and enthusiasm on various bagpipes, flutes and violin, Mirjam Gosteli Buisson spices them up with fiery percussion and Silas Bitterli frames them with powerful guitar and occasionally sings a song with his unique voice. Songs about sailors, broken hearts and wild mountain thyme...
Marooned

Abandoned on dark and desperate shores, these ragged folks have nothing left but their music. Music that brings together tunes and songs from Celtic shores and savage seas, telling stories from bygone times...
Spanning the Celtic regions from Ireland to Brittany, Marooned bring you a lively mix of authentic folk traditions, filled with spontaneity, improvisation and the search for connection through music.
Marooned tell tales of sadness and shipwreck, but also bring humour, and jolly pipe- and fiddle tunes to warm cold sailors' hearts.
Dead in the Water
Acoustic folk duo Dead in the Water plunders the deep well of European folk melodies in the pursuit of their "Maritime Folk Noir". Plaintive ballads and gentle folk compositions give way to wild bursts of inspired fiddle and intricately arranged rollicking tunes.
As exciting and unpredictable as a voyage on the high seas, Dead in the Water take the audience on a journey where great riches are assured (if they survive).
